Assistance Programs
If you are a social worker and would like information on referring a patient or to determine if your patient is eligible for our programs, please feel free to contact us.
The Lungs for Life Foundation currently has available the following programs to meet the needs of the CF and lung transplant communities:
Edward W. Wlodarski Assistance Grant The maximum assistance grant is $500.00 in any 12-month period.
Provides for limited financial assistance to CF individuals or families in need when a hospitalization for CF treatment and/or management occurs.
This fund pays for such items as rent, mortgage, utilities, co-pays, medications/supplements* and out-of-pocket medical costs required to manage their CF.
How to apply: Application to this program is through referral from your CF physician and/or social worker. Please contact one of these individuals to begin the process.
Who is eligible? Individuals with a cystic fibrosis diagnosis and who have experienced a recent CF treatment and/or management hospitalization.*
*Approved applications for CF medications & nutritional supplements DO NOT need to meet the hospitalization requirement BUT will be required to receive their supplies through one of two LFL approved vendors. No other vendor of services will be accepted.
Transplant Assistance Program The maximum assistance grant is $500.00 in any 12-month period.
Provides for limited financial assistance towards transplant relocation expenses to the CF individual that is an approved transplant recipient. This includes 20 minute pre-paid calling cards.
How to apply: Application to this program is through referral from your transplant physician and/or social worker. Please contact one of these individuals to begin the process.
Who is eligible? Approved candidates, as a direct result of CF, who have been called to transplant.

Life & Breath is an E-Newsletter which offers individuals affected by CF: support, updates on treatments and current events relating to cystic fibrosis and our fundraising efforts. (please note: the E-newsletter is temporarily unavailable)
CF Financial Resource Listing is a comprehensive listing of all known financial resources available to those affected by CF. (please note: we are currently working on updating this list)
